Linda could you help me on which is the best printer for printing on cloth and which sewing machine you would say was the most economical to purchase for quilting and free motion sewing over here in NZ they are quite expensive.
Many thanks your site is great .

Pauline, the best printer is always going to be the one that has the features that you need, although you should look for a printer that has pigment inks because these are mostly water resistant. I use an Epson 1100 that has durabrite inks and for me the results are good enough. You can find additional information through the inkjet group on yahoo – http://groups.yahoo.com/group/inkjetfabricprinting.

As for a sewing machine I really can’t help you there as I don’t keep up with the latest models. Your best bet would be to visit a couple of sewing machine dealers in your area and take a few machines for a test drive and then compare.

Thank you for the tips and for the machine quilting designs. Your work is very beautiful, by the way.
